Canadian National Lawn Bowling Championships - Victoria 2009
In 2009, Victoria and Bowls B.C. will be hosting the Canadian Lawn Bowling Championships.
In 2008, Victoria City Council is contemplating ending the lease on the historic Bowling Green in Cridge Park where the Canadian Pacific Lawn Bowling Club has had their Bowling Green for 78 years. The Lawn Bowling Club has maintained the Bowling Green at their own expense for all of those years.
What message does that send to the rest of the country?
Cridge Park Rescue Group requests that City Council renew the lease of the Canadian Pacific Lawn Bowling Club, so the Club can continue to build their membership, maintain the historic Bowling Green, and provide a City-centre outdoor exercise and activity centre for people of all ages.
